Any one else get a little too excited over the rumors about Oprah running for President? Unfortunately they weren’t true BUT I still see her as a great leader.
I remember coming home from school and hurrying to get my after-school snack ready to sit down to watch the Oprah Show with my Mom. I love the way she seems so relatable and yet has a bath tub carved specifically for her body out of granite. (That’s true.) I love seeing her share her wealth with those that really need it. I love her poise and kindness as she dives into sensitive topics with her guests.
I remember watching her last episode – crying, taking notes on my phone and trying to get all the wisdom I could before the final episode was over.
Thankfully her wisdom did not cease to be accessible. She has books, new interviews with her movie A Wrinkle in Time coming out, and my personal favorite- her podcast called SuperSoul Conversations.
While trying to glean more of her wisdom I asked for her two latest books for my birthday – The Wisdom of Sundays and What I Know for Sure. I recently finished the latter and it got me thinking about what I know for sure.
So after several weeks really pondering this prompt here it is-
What I know for sure is…
That I need more time to figure out what I know for sure.
Yup. Not anywhere as profound or deep as what Oprah knows for sure.
BUT. I’m not giving up. I’m making it a goal to figure out what I know for sure. To help me achieve that goal I’m going to be posting monthly blogs with something new that I know for sure.
So be sure to check back in to find out more about I know for sure.
In the meantime, what do you know for sure?
